Welcome to Santeria, home of the best Mexican food in Portland Oregon. Santeria is run by two Portland restaurant industry veterans who believe that the service industry is all about throwing a party.

Roberto Hernandez, our chef was originally taught to cook by his mother and grandmother. He then went on to cook in fine dining restaurants in Mexico City. Seeking to better take care of his mother, he moved to Los Angeles and worked in taquerias for 15 years. Roberto knows Mexican cuisine from the bottom to the top.

We have a passion for restaurants. We have a need to provide excellent drinks, excellent food, and excellent service. That is what we do. We've done it for 20+ years at some of Portland's finest restaurants. Thanks to a little help from Mary's club, we finally have a chance to do it for ourselves.
